The Soca Family BBQ Lime is a free entry event with a history of being one of the highlights of the Berlin  Carnival season.

Let’s start with the negatives; there could have been an extra bar or two and the venue could have been larger. But these slight issues are only a sign of how much the lime has grown over the years.

Now we’ve got that out of the way,  the weather was amazing with temperates in the early 30’s, which set the tone for the day. Various items of clothing were on sale and the last of the costumes/t-shirts were being collected. After queueing for what seemed like an eternity at times, drinks and food were reasonably priced.

All around Soca lovers could be seen enjoying themselves. Limin, jumping up, eating or simply taking in the sun on a beautiful day.
