Socaholic: Fright Night Review 26th October
Scary Soca! Matching the success of The Fifty Fete was always going to be a hard thing to do. Did the Socaholic team manage to do this?
This fete like all other fetes of late fell victim to revellers arriving late again. Why people don’t get to parties earlier to make the most of their night is beyond me. Turning up late means less time for enjoying your night and normally a higher entry fee.
ANYHOO.. those who came earlier laid the foundations on which this night was built. To say that the attendees made an effort with their outfits would be an understatement. Some outfits must have taken hours of preparation. The well deserved prizes for the best costumes were Johnnie Walker Gold Reserve and Captain Morgan Black (not easily obtained in the UK).

The Vibe: Honest! A true love of soca will always result in a sweet vibe. Tonight was no different.
The Music: DJ’s Chris Vee, DJ Tate & Martin Jay set the place on fire with a mixture of soca from back in times to future hits.
The Crowd: The crowd were genuinely enjoying themselves and kept the vibes live all night long. Late comers were immediately infected by the pace and didn’t take long to join in with the partying. There was another party upstairs and throughout the night many came down to see what was happening.
We were at a party upstairs and heard the music so came down to have a look. We would never have guessed this was going on down here
All-in-all: Did Socaholic’s manage to match the success of The Fifty Fete? I would say so. A good night with good people.
