There’s always something sweet about Jouvert. On paper it could be considered a hardship; waking up with little sleep, eating minimal and then drinking hard liquor – all before 3am. However, for us at UKSS it has always been the highlight of carnival.

Chocolate City, one of the biggest Jouvert bands, brought us Miami Vice this year. Although last year was a great year, this year was even better. The water truck visited at least 3 times, and arrived much earlier this year. That took the atmosphere to a new high for the already fired up band members.

After the water we crossed a clay and powder band and things got really exciting!
